    • Located in Valley View, Lone Oak RV Park is 16 miles from Gainesville (approximately 21 minutes by automobile). The campground offers pull-through campsites that feature full electric, water and sewage hookups. Wireless Internet service is accessible throughout the park. On-site amenities include restrooms, showers and a laundry facility. The campground is located along Lake Ray Roberts for freshwater fishing and is adjacent to a public boat launch.

    • Operated by the City of Gainesville, the Gainesville RV Park is consists of 27 recreational vehicle campsites. Each spot offers full electric, water and sewage hookups. No restrooms, showers or recreational activities are available on-site. Reservations are not required, but recommended when special events are taking place at the nearby Gainesville Civic Center. The City of Gainesville imposes a seven day maximum on all stays at the campground.

    Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch

    • Also in Valley View, Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch is approximately 17 miles from Gainesville (around 30 minutes by automobile). Operated by the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife, the public campground has 104 paved recreational vehicle campsites. Eleven of the spots are pull-throughs, measuring 50 feet by 70 feet in size, while the remaining back-ins are 50 feet by 40 feet. Water and electric hookups area available at each campsite. Although there are no sewage connections at any of the lots, the park has a waste dump for campers' convenience. Also on-site are restrooms, showers, a public telephone and firewood sales. Campers can fish, swim and boat in Ray Roberts Lake; the park provides boat rentals. A playground is also located at the campground. A 14-day stay is the maximum at the park.
