Older travelers desiring mature communities and quieter parks should consider an RV park which rents exclusively to seniors. Desert Gardens allows children to visit for a maximum of two weeks with adult supervision. The park has 266 spacious RV sites with full hookups, water/sewer and 20, 30 or 50 amp electric service. Nearby attractions include Cochise Stronghold, the Rex Allen Cowboy Museum, Superstition Mountain Museum, Casa Grade Ruins, Tombstone Gunfight Re-enactments and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West. Park amenities include modern restrooms with showers, fitness center, laundry facilities, heated pool, spa, game room, wireless Internet, RV and boat storage, clubhouse, stained glass studio, woodworking workshop, picnic tables, firepits and a meditation garden. Desert Gardens welcomes well behaved pets with a maximum of two pets allowed. As of 2010, rates range from $28 to $39 per day. The park offers weekly, monthly and seasonal rates.

    Caliente Springs RV Park

    • Caliente Springs RV Park, located in Desert Hot Springs, California, is a "55 and better" community located less than 15 miles from Palm Springs. Caliente Springs allows children under 18 to stay overnight if he is registered to stay for at least 30 days; otherwise, overnight visitation is not permitted. Park amenities include a large clubhouse, laundry facilities, barbecue areas, sports center, tennis courts, shuffle board, 9-hole golf course, hot springs, mineral pools, swimming pool and water-oriented activities such as water volleyball. Rates are $46 per day, $276 per week, $650 per month and $3,520 per year, as of 2010. Caliente Springs allows a maximum of two pets per RV for an additional charge of $1 per pet, per day, up to a maximum charge of $15.

    Lakeshore Seniors RV Resort

    • Lakeshore Seniors RV Resort is located in Seven Points, Texas, on Cedar Creek Lake. The park has been open since 1990 and is a private community which rents RV sites to seniors. The park strictly rents on a monthly basis. Nearby attractions include bowling, bingo, family game arcade, movies, restaurants, shopping, golf and the flea market in Canton, Texas. Park amenities include a clubhouse, fishing piers, boat ramp and water sports on the lake. As of 2010, rates begin at $165 per month and include water and sewer. Electricity is an additional usage-based charge.
