RV Parks in Kamloops, BC

Kamloops in south-central British Columbia began as a fur trading post in 1812. Today, the 85,000-population city is a major stop on Trans-Canada Highway 1. Outdoor recreational activities abound with fishing, rafting and snow sports. The city is known as the "Tournament Capital of Canada," because it hosts approximately 100 tournaments a year. Accommodations are varied, with several recreational vehicle parks within a 25-mile radius.

    • Kamloops RV Park is adjacent to the BC Wildlife Park east of Kamloops on Highway 1. It has 85 sites with full hook-up, Wi-Fi and laundry; pets are allowed. Roads inside the park are dirt. It is close to a nature trail, fishing, golfing, hiking and biking, not to mention interpretive programs at the wildlife park.

    Pine Grove Campground and RV Park

    • Pine Grove Campground and RV Park is located 20 miles north of Kamloops on the Yellowhead Highway. It is a Good Sam Park with pull-through sites with hook-ups and Wi-Fi. Other amenities include fire pits, laundry, store, bathrooms, playground, horseshoe pits and badminton area. It is close to a nature trail that leads to a small waterfall.

    Lac Le Jeune Park

    • Lac Le Jeune Park belongs to the provincial government, and is operated by Brandywine Environmental Management. Located 23 miles south of Kamloops, the park offers a myriad of activities, including boating, hiking, fishing and cross-country skiing. It has a boat launch, toilets and potable water but no hook-ups. The park has 144 tent and RV sites. Interpretive programs are offered in the summer months. Area wildlife includes deer, mouse, osprey, beaver and waterfowl.

    Mile High Resort

    • Mile High Resort is basically for self-contained RVs, as it does not offer any hook-ups. It is located south of Kamloops just off Highway 5. A dump station is available if chemicals are not contained in the waste. Camp owners ask that campers conserve water from the private well. Sits have fire pits and picnic tables; pets are not allowed.
