Pickwick Landing State Park was awarded the 2009 Convention South Readers' Choice Award because of its comprehensive accommodations. From a southern style restaurant offering a buffet and menu dining, an inn and cabins; this park seems to have an option for every guest. For campers, Pickwick offers a wooded campground with 48 sites, and all of them have a picnic table, grill and electrical and water hook-ups. The park is open year-round and has beach-side and pool swimming, hiking trails and a golf course.

This park is located just on Highway 142 across from the Shiloh National Military Park and Shiloh National Battlefield, both popular stops for history and civil war enthusiasts. After camping here, families can walk to the national park to study Civil War history. It is about five miles south of Pickwick. It offers pull-through and back-in RV sites as well as a grocery store and a sewer station.

Little Creek Ranch has an Old West theme with horseback riding and buffalo and longhorn cattle pastures. While it's nestled on 900 acres in the hills of northern Mississippi, it is less than 20 miles from Pickwick, TN. It has 17 full service hook-ups with water, 20/30 or 50 amp electricity and sewage. There are sites in the shade or full sun, and a bath house and laundry facility for overnight guests.The park also has a playground for children, lakeside fishing and hiking trails.
