Apache Junction, Arizona is a popular RV stopping point. They also arrange bus trips to Mexico. As of 2010, the park requires a $100 security deposit for each site; the deposit is refunded at the end of your stay. Upfront payment is required.

La Hacienda is an RV retirement resort and park located 35 miles from Phoenix. At least one person per RV must be 55 years or older, and the park requires name badges to be worn at all times. La Hacienda does allow pets, but cats must stay within the RV and RVs with dogs need to reserve a specific pet-friendly site. Not all breeds of dog are allowed. Each site is large enough for an RV plus up to two personal cars or storage units. The resort offers mail service with private mail boxes subject to a five dollar refundable deposit. Every site has free Wi-Fi and satellite television, shade trees and a concrete patio, along with full hookups and your choice of 30 or 50 amp electricity. The park has a heated pool and two spas.
