How can one join the Alaska State Troopers?

1. Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of Academy entry.

3. Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and 30 college credit hours earned through regionally accredited college or university.

4. Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.

5. Physical Fitness: Must pass the Alaska State Trooper physical fitness test.

6. Military Service: If applicable, must have an honorable discharge from the military.

7. Vision: Corrected vision must be 20/30 or better.

8. Drug Screening: Must pass a drug screening.

1. Submit an online application: Visit the Alaska State Troopers website and create an account. Complete the online application form and attach required documents.

2. Written Exam: If qualified, candidates are invited to take the written exam.
