* It is illegal to possess an "imitation" firearm if:
* It is not constructed of certain colored plastic or is colored in a way to indicate that it is a toy.
* It is marked with a serial number or other identification mark that is similar to a real firearm.
* It is manufactured to be loaded with blanks, paint balls, or other projectiles.
* Paintball markers are considered "imitation firearms" and are subject to the same restrictions.
* A person who violates these laws may be charged with a misdemeanor and may face a fine of up to $1,000 and/or up to one year in jail.
* It is also illegal to sell or transfer an imitation firearm to a person under the age of 18 without the permission of a parent or guardian.
