Sandara Park was born in Busan, South Korea, on November 12, 1984. She is the younger sister of Thunder (real name Park Sang-hyun), a former member of the boy band MBLAQ. In 1993, she made her entertainment debut in the Philippines as a member of the girl group Sugar, under the name Sandara Park. The group released two studio albums and one live album before disbanding in 2003.
In 2007, Sandara Park returned to South Korea and signed with YG Entertainment. She made her debut as a member of 2NE1 in 2009, alongside CL, Park Bom, and Minzy. The group quickly gained popularity and became one of the most successful girl groups in South Korea. 2NE1 released two studio albums, two extended plays, and numerous singles before disbanding in 2016.
After the disbandment of 2NE1, Sandara Park continued her career as a solo artist. She released her debut solo single, "Kiss", in 2017. She has also appeared in several television dramas and films, including "One Step" (2017), "Cheese in the Trap" (2016), and "Miss Granny" (2014).
In addition to her music and acting career, Sandara Park is also a popular television host. She has hosted several shows, including "Get It Beauty", "Two Yoo Project - Sugar Man", and "Video Star". She is also a regular guest on variety shows such as "Running Man" and "Knowing Bros".
