How long can you live in a foreclosed home Michigan?

Michigan law gives homeowners in foreclosure the right to remain in their homes for up to six months after a sheriff's sale is conducted under state law, or eight months after their last mortgage payment if this occurred more than four months before the sale, whichever period is lesser.
