Begin cleaning in the living room. Vacuum the carpets and mop the hard surface floors. Also vacuum the furniture, including the cushions. Dust the window sills, furniture, window blinds, ceiling fans and lamps. Wipe the glass doors clean.
Clean the kitchen by sanitizing all kitchen surfaces, appliances, table and chairs. Wipe out the inside of both the oven and microwave. Empty the refrigerator and wipe it clean. Scrub and mop the floor. Run the dishwasher and unload dishes. Restock the dish detergent, paper towels and trash bags. Lay out clean dishtowels and a new sponge. Last, take out the trash and put in a new trash bag.
Wash all the sheets and make the beds in the bedroom. Wash all blankets and bedspreads at every tenth rental. Vacuum the floor, including under the beds. Dust the furniture and clean all mirrors and glass.
Clean and sanitize all showers, bathtubs, toilets and sinks in the bathrooms. Wipe the mirrors and all other surfaces. Mop the floors. Remember to replenish the toilet paper, and take out the trash. Wash and set out clean linens including towels, washcloths and a bath mat.
Leave the washer and dryer are empty of clothing and clean out the lint trap. Look around the property, and change any necessary light bulbs. Change the air filter monthly. Wipe off all of the outdoor furniture and wipe the grill clean.
