How to Find a Halfway Meeting Spot

Whether you're catching up with an old friend who lives out of state or trying to find a good place to celebrate the holidays with relatives, picking a halfway meeting spot is a fair way to reduce traveling time for both parties. It may be helpful to look at a map yourself in order to find an appropriate place to meet, but there are also websites that can help you find popular destinations such as hotels, coffee shops and landmarks.

Instructions

  1. Meetways

    • 1

      Go to meetways.com

    • 2

Type in the two addresses where you and the other person will be traveling from under the section that says, "Enter 2 addresses and a point of interest." Your point of interest can be a coffee shop, restaurant, etc.

    • 3

Click on the button that says, "Get halfway location."

    • 4

Consult the map that pops up. You will see red sign posts that indicate points of interest between your two destinations. In the right sidebar on the page, these destinations will be listed as well. Here you can find buttons that will lead you to directions from both of your destinations to the point of interest.

    Geo Midpoint

    • 5

      Go to geomidpoint.com/meet.

    • 6

Enter your address in the box that says, "Address 1" and click "Add." Do the same thing for the second address.

    • 7

Choose a type of meeting point under the dropdown menu that says "Category." You can choose from places like restaurants, hotels, parks or movie theaters. Or, enter your own category word in the box that says "Or enter category."

    • 8

      Click the blue "Search" button.

    • 9

Pick a destination from the ones listed on the right-hand side. You will see the name of each place, the address, and how to get directions to or from there.
