Nashville's Metropolitan Transit Authority provides transportation to meet the needs of all citizens and visitors. If your parents' disability prevents them from riding the public buses independently, the Metropolitan Transit Authority will provide an equivalent, complimentary source of transportation within their normal route coverage area. Buses equipped with wheelchair lifts are available as are smaller vans. You may also apply --- 21 days or more before the trip --- for a personal care assistant to help your parents navigate the Metropolitan Transit system and escort them to and from where they would like to go.
