Amra's, named the "Best Late Night Spot" by Midtown Magazine in 2011, elicits the vibe of an old 1930s jazz club. The main room is washed in dim lighting that almost masks the dark wood bar that's the centerpiece of the establishment and the equally dark booths that line the interior walls, accented by deep red seats. High, 22-foot ceilings are left bearing rafters and piping that add an underground warehouse vibe. The full bar offers selections of beer, wine and liquor. Amra's is in downtown Raleigh, and live jazz acts are featured throughout each month's roster of live music.
