Hot Lava Springs Resorts in Nevada

Most hot springs have been developed close to Carson City, near Lake Tahoe on the border of California and Nevada, while a few have been set up nearer to Las Vegas at the south end of the state.

    • David Walley's Carson Valley hot springs resort is the oldest in Nevada, having opened to the public in 1862. The resort features majestic views of the nearby mountains, and sits only 30 minutes from the southern end of Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Resort, which features casinos and the popular Heavenly skiing area.

    Carson Hot Springs Resort

    • Carson Hot Springs resort was settled in 1849 and opened to the public in 1880. Situated just outside Carson City, Carson Hot Springs resort features a large thermal pool with day rates. Lodging at Carson Springs, however, is available only on a monthly basis.

    Tecopa Hot Springs

    • Further south in Nevada outside Las Vegas and just north of Death Valley sits Tecopa Hot springs. This desert spa focuses on wellness and features a full range of services from massage therapy to a meditation labyrinth and a steam-cabinet. A nearby gallery displays the work of local artists.
