Nightclubs in Aruba tend to be more laid back, Caribbean-themed restaurant/bar combinations rather than dedicated space to nightclubs, with many of the popular clubs located along the waterfront and Main Street (Caya Betico Croes) in downtown Oranjestad. Many restaurants transform into clubs after 10 or 11 p.m., and many of the best nightclubs do not start getting busy until after midnight, with most open until 4 a.m.
  1. Mambo Jambo

    • An open air club with a Caribbean theme Mambo Jambo is a popular bar and restaurant open until 4 a.m. daily, with the restaurant closing at 9 p.m. Friday night is student night, with discounts on drinks. The bar serves a menu of frozen drinks like pina coladas and mudslides as well as imported and local beers. Located on the main strip on the island entertainment ranges from live DJs to salsa and Latin music.

    Mr. Jazz Aruba

    • Catering to an upscale and older crowd, Mr. Jazz serves five-star cuisine and is also a lounge featuring a 12-piece Latin orchestra during the evening hours. As the night goes on, the lounge turns to Latin dance music. Open until 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 4 a.m. on weekends, the lounge also hosts club nights featuring international DJs and bands playing music ranging from house to reggae and folklore.

    Jimmy's Place

    • In a new location as of March 2010, Jimmy's place, formerly located a block of off Caya Betico Croes, is open six days a week, closed on Mondays. Open until 2 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday and until 4 a.m. on the weekends, the bar has DJs spinning 80's and 90's music on Thursday nights and mixed music on Friday and Saturdays. Happy hour drink specials are served between 5 and 6 p.m.
