Although Belize has many world-class attractions, don't book your ticket hoping to find raging nightlife. For all its beauty, Belize is still an underdeveloped country with an underdeveloped nightclub scene. The best option for night life and the only location for nightclubs is San Pedro Town. There may not be many to choose from, but the clubs available offer varied settings and plenty of fun.
With a 600-person capacity, two fully stocked bars, full-time DJs and laser lighting effects, Jaguar's Temple Night Club provides a pure dance club atmosphere. The club is open Thursday through Saturday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. The Rehab Lounge, located in the front of the building, is open during the early evening hours if you want to stop in and enjoy a drink in a more relaxed setting. Happy hour for the lounge runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and features two-for-one drinks made with local rum.

Serving Caribbean fare and fresh sushi, Fido's is a restaurant and bar for much of the day. When the sun goes down, however, the atmosphere changes at this picturesque beachfront establishment. Though not a nightclub in the traditional sense, Fido's offers a fun atmosphere and nightly live music from 8 p.m. to midnight. While the scene is more sedate than the club vibe of Jaguar's, the drinks and live music on the waterfront are enjoyable.

Though Big Daddy's will host live music on occasion, the main nighttime draws are the sporting events they show on their many flat screen TVs. Big Daddy's is known for its barbecue and beach side setting, so while you cannot boogie down on a dance floor there, you can sit back with some ribs and a beer and enjoy a sporting event in a lively atmosphere.
