The Church is a former place of worship built in 1865 that is now, according to the CoClub website, "home to dance worshipers." Open Thursday through Sunday, the unique venue features high-beamed Gothic architecture and stained-glass windows. Resident DJs play hip-hop, Top 40, alternative, and industrial. Internationally-known DJs such as Deadmau5 and DJ Jazzy Jeff also perform special gigs there. There is a Sushi Bar at the venue, which opens at 9 p.m. Women over 21 are sometimes allowed into the club free before 11 p.m. while men generally have to pay a cover charge.

According to Denver.com, Club Vinyl is a major player on the Denver nightclub scene. It has several bars, a large dance floor, and an all-weather rooftop area complete with heaters, fire pits, and views of the Denver skyline. There are four floors at Club Vinyl, making it one of the biggest in the state. There is a dress code at the club, so dress well to get in. Thursdays feature "Reggae on the Roof," Fridays have more of a Latin/salsa theme, and on Saturdays the club hosts the big names in international dance music.

For something a little different and sexy, head to La Rumba in Denver. This sophisticated Latin club features DJs or sometimes an in-house band. The club also offers free salsa lessons early on in the night, just in case you are a little unsure of your moves. According to website Denver.com, the drinks at La Rumba are quite pricey, so be warned.

Funky Buddha Lounge is a more intimate Denver night spot. Coclubs recommends its "two beautiful, feng-shui, rooftop patios." The lounge has a full-service kitchen offering evening snacks, and the bar's specialty is signature martinis. The club has big flat-screen televisions and attracts a sophisticated crowd. Funky Buddha is open Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Happy hour is 4-8 p.m. every day the club is open. Wednesday's music is broken beat, Thursday's is hip-hop, Friday's electro, and Saturday is a mixture of electro and hip-hop.

Located approximately 15 minutes northeast of central Colorado Springs, Icon is open all night during the weekends and throws big Halloween and New Year's Eve events. It is described on clubber's websites as a jam-packed, heaving sort of a place. It plays hip-hop, R&B, and top 40 dance music.
