If you travel frequently with Air Canada, consider signing up for Aeroplan, which is Air Canada's frequent-flyer program. You will also have the option of earning Aeroplan miles when you fly on other airlines in the Star Alliance, including Continental Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Lufthansa and Egyptair. You can redeem the Aeroplan miles you earn for flights not only within Canada, but also to and from the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia, Australia and many other destinations around the world.
Direct your preferred web browser to aeroplan.com.
Click on the "Use Your Miles" heading. This will open a new page with options for how to use your miles. Click "Flights" on the left side of this page.
Click on either "Round-Trip," "One-Way" or "Multi-City," depending on your travel plans. Then enter the required information for your flight, including your departure and arrival airports and dates as well as the number of passengers who will be traveling. Click on the "Search" button when you are done.
Click on one of the matching departure flights in the left column of the page that opens. This will display the number of miles needed for your flight in the far right column beside each return flight (if applicable). If you are purchasing a round-trip ticket, select your return flight on this page by clicking on it. A "Book" button will appear below the number of miles needed for your itinerary; click this "Book" button when you are done selecting flights.
Enter your Aeroplan number and password in the corresponding boxes; then click "Log in." Follow the further prompts to finish booking your flight using your Aeroplan miles.
