Newberry Street is actually a misnomer for Newbury Street, which is pronounced the same and sometimes mistaken for it in Internet searches. There is no Newberry street, but Newbury Street is full of shops and restaurants. Located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay community, the street is a popular place to take a stroll, do some boutique shopping, and get some great bites to eat.
Tapeo has been around for more than 15 years, making it a popular staple for Spanish cuisine in Boston. It serves tapas-style entrees, which are small plates meant for sharing, in a casual European atmosphere. Tapas are divided into hot and cold varieties. Some of the cold plates include Tortilla Espanola (egg, potato and onion omelet), and Pimientos Asados (roasted red peppers). There is a bit more variety in the hot tapas, which include Gambas al Ajillo (sizzling garlic shrimp), Pato Braseado (roasted duckling in a berry sauce), and Vieiras al Azafran (scallops in saffron cream). In total there are more than 40 tapas, and more are included every six months or so. Larger dishes, like the signature Pescado a la Sal (salted fresh fish cooked Cadiz style) are also available. Tapeo also has an extensive list of Spanish wine, sherry and spirits.

For a different fare on Newbury Street, visit Bouchee, a popular French brasserie restaurant in the city. It is styled like a traditional French bistro, complete with a French zinc-top bar and Parisian lamps throughout. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. The menu features appetizers like the Sullivan Farm smoked salmon plate, steak tartare, escargot and crispy duck confit. Main plates include bouillabaisse (a traditional seafood stew from Provencal), brown butter trout, steak frites, and roasted lamb chops. Larger plates for two are also available, such as a whole roasted chicken with potatoes and fresh vegetables. Finish off the meal with a flourless chocolate torte or some fresh seasonal berries. The restaurant also has a changing, world-class wine list and menu options to pair a glass with a meal.
