The bar features horseshoe tournaments on holiday weekends with a charity tournament in late July. The Northland Hotel also hosts live bands and DJs throughout the year. Located in The Forks, about half an hour away from Jackman, the Northern Outdoors is an adventure resort, offering whitewater rafting, rafting and camping in western Maine.
