The restaurant was awarded the James Beard Foundation Award for Excellence, is a Forbes four-star restaurant, received the AAA Four-Diamond Award and was named America's Best Restaurant by Zagat in 2009. Menu offerings are seasonal and include several tasting menus, Japanese-inspired cuisine, aged steaks, seafood and fish, as well as salads and a daily menu. Chef Tom Colicchio opened Craft in response to Dallas' quickly growing food culture. The restaurant was designed by the award-winning architectural firm Bentel and Bentel, and features handcrafted walnut tables, a two-story steel and glass wine cabinet and industrial filament bulbs. The restaurant is known for its celebration of local, artisan-made ingredients, including local beef and vegetables, daily-caught fresh fish and locally baked bread. Craft offers semi-private dining for large parties. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Craft, with a seasonal, ever-changing menu.
