Ginger Restaurant
- Ginger is a budget-friendly Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto. Using only organic materials, Ginger makes dishes that run from $2 to $10. The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and offers dine-in, take-out and free delivery for orders over $15. Menu options include deep fried fish and mango on steamed rice, vegetables and tofu with steamed rice and beef and chicken teriyaki with udon noodles. Salad King
- The Salad King is a cheap Thai dining option in Toronto. Salad King has been featured twice by Toronto's "Now" magazine as the best lunch under $10 and the best Thai restaurant. Daily specials include the green curry chicken--chicken breast, broccoli, green peppers, snap peas and green peas in green Thai curry made from coconut milk, Thai herbs and fish sauce--or the sesame shrimp--shrimp, eggplant, bell peppers, carrots, peas and sesame seed stir-fried with sauce made from garlic, shallots, ground peanuts and chili--both served with steamed rice and both under $10. The Senator
- The Senator is a diner in Toronto with a long history. This restaurant has been operating in various forms for over 75 years and the house it is in has been around since 1860. The Senator is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. On the menu are options like egg scrambles, French toast, cereals, breads and bagels, steak and eggs, bacon, macaroni and cheese, fish and chips, a variety of salads, burgers and sandwiches. The dinner menu is a little different, with options such as smoked salmon and homemade meatloaf. The dinner menu is a tad more expensive with options ranging up to $20 but the breakfast and lunch menu is very budget-friendly, with the average price at $10 or less, as of 2010.
