Acuña is the Mexican border town just on the other side of Del Rio, Texas. It is a favored border town among Americans and Canadians because the environment is safe and the people are friendly. Foreigners visit Acuña to go to the doctor, the dentist, pick up needed prescriptions and to have fun. During the day, the small-town streets are decorated with Mexican handicrafts, and at night the neon signs turn on and the party begins. There are bars, restaurants and nightclubs that offer dining and dancing till late in the night.
This is one of the more popular clubs for Americans. It sits on the main drag of Acuña across the street from Crosby's and El Antro. The Corona Club plays live music, both country and rock, every night and visitors can dance on the outdoor patio. This was the set used for the movies "El Mariachi" and "Desperado."
