Pago Pago on the island of Tutuila is the principal town and capital of American Samoa. This small town faces the sole deep-water harbor in the archipelago, with several outlying coves and beaches. The principal industry is tuna canning and most visitors come to Pago Pago with business, not leisure, in mind. Nevertheless, there are several lodgings in and around the town that provide a comfortable spot for overnighting visitors.
