You've had a good night out, the time has just flown by, you look down at your watch and realize that you have missed the last tube train. This does not mean that you have to spend a fortune on taxis. London has one of the most efficient public transit services in the world. Here's how to use it.

      Find the right night bus. Night buses are always marked with an N before the number. In big areas like Trafalgar Square, you can look at the bus shelters and the night bus destinations are alphabetically listed with a number of the corresponding bus.

      Walk to the bus stop. Remember that fare for night busses differ. If you have a Travel card, night bus fare is included; otherwise, the bus driver will tell you the fare.

      Check the bus route by studying the information in the space either on the upper level or down below near the front of each bus.

      Get off the bus on a main street near a tube station in the area you require.
