Sightseeing at the Grand Canyon in Las Vegas

The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long and up to 18 miles wide with the Colorado River running through it. Visitors to Las Vegas can easily see it on a day excursion from the bright lights.
  1. Helicopter or Airplane

    • Grand Canyon

Small aircraft must now stay 1,500 feet away from the rim of the park after a 1990s crash but a helicopter or airplane can still give you a remarkable bird's eye view.

    Coach

    • Hoover Dam

Luxury buses or All-Wheel Drive vehicles can drive passengers to the South Rim in an approximately 14 hour round-trip. The drive is through stunning desert and passes sights like ghost towns and the Hoover Dam.

    Boat

    • Colorado River

A boat trip in the Colorado River that includes an airplane and a helicopter ride lasts about 5 1/2 hours. Most tour operators include free hotel pick-up and drop-off and a light meal.
