Stockholm is the capital of Sweden, as well as its largest and most populous city. With a history that dates back to the 13th Century, plenty of local history and culture can be found within the city. Consisting of 14 distinct islands, Stockholm is known for its classic European architecture as well as its numerous parks and open spaces, a rarity in a major urban environment.
  1. Museum of National Antiquities

    • The museum houses many Viking artifacts

      The Museum of National Antiquities ("Historiska Museet" in Swedish) houses artifacts and treasures spanning from the Stone Age to the 16th century. The museum covers the history and culture of Sweden, including many unique Viking relics. The museum features guided tours, a gift shop and cafe. The Museum of National Antiquities is located at Narvavägen 13--17.

    Sports and Entertainment

    • The Ericsson Globe

      The Ericsson Globe (aka the Stockholm Globe Arena) is a 16,000-seat arena that hosts hockey games, other sporting events and concerts. It is notable for holding the title of being the world's largest sphere building. The arena is located at Globentorget 2. Tickets can either be purchased online or by phone.

    Stockholm's Amusement Park

    • Stockholm has only one amusement park

      Gröna Lund is Stockholm's only amusement park, consisting of many rides and attractions for the adventurous (and not so adventurous). It is located at Lilla Allmänna Gränd 9, 115 21.
