The Comedy Pet Theater is a delightful show for animal-lovers of any age. Located in the V Theater in the Desert Passage Mall, this show features dogs and cats performing amazing tricks. The show's creator, Gregory Popovich, has spent years rescuing animals from shelters and teaching them to perform feats that include cats working alongside mice.
If your kids loved the movie "The Lion King," then they are sure to love the musical located in Mandalay Bay Hotel. Bring them to watch their favorite characters perform songs and dance routines against a surreal backdrop. Be aware that the show is 120 minutes long with an intermission break long enough to grab snacks and take a bathroom break.
While taking in "The Lion King," stop by the Shark Reef in Mandalay Bay. This spectacular aquarium has more than 2,000 aquatic species. Thier collection includes rare golden allegators, jellyfish, endangered sea turtles, piranha, giant stingrays and more than 100 sharks. If your visit is around 10 a.m. or 4 p.m., you can watch the animals getting fed.
Check out more wildlife at the Mirage Hotel White Tiger Habitat. This habitat was established by the magicians Siegfried and Roy. The open-air exhibit replicates that tiger's natural environment with a large swimming pool, fountains and mountain terrain. If your little one can't get some sleep, take her any time because the habitat is open 24 hours a day.
Visit the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand for additional chances to see wildcats. Admission is free, and the exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Not everything in Vegas requires tickets or has long lines. Check out the smoking volcano at the Mirage hotel. Every 15 minutes from dust until midnight, the volcano "erupts" and sends a huge blast of flames higher than 100 feet into the sky.
Visit the Bellagio's Botanical Gardens. Just past the lobby in the Bellagio is a kaleidoscope of flowers and plants. If you go in October, you can see their impressive pumpkin patch. Stay at the Bellagio for their iconic fountain show, which begins at dusk and starts every 15 minutes. Set to symphony music, your child will love the giant fountains and beautiful lighting.
