Rising out of the desert like a mirage, Las Vegas stands as a testament to the ultimate adult-oriented vacation. As the city moved into the 21st century, it began to get away from the family-friendly image that plagued it in the 1990s. Today, Vegas has gotten back to its adult-oriented roots. However, kids are still welcome here and there are many things for them to do. There are actually several spectacular shows for the whole family.
Probably the most family-friendly show in all of Las Vegas is at the Excalibur hotel. The Tournament of Kings is a trip back to the time of King Arthur when knights settled their differences with a jousting lance. A bonus with this show is that it's also a dinner show featuring classic medieval food, all eaten by hand.
Shows are twice nightly at 6 and 8:30 p.m., excluding Tuesdays, between June 30 and Aug. 25. Tickets are $61.21. For more information, call the Excalibur ticket desk, or visit excalibur.com.
