The Las Vegas 51s, a minor league baseball team and Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, plays a full schedule of games every year at Cashman Field near downtown Las Vegas. Sporadically throughout the season, the team hosts fireworks at the end of a home game. In the 2010 season, there are eight fireworks shows listed on the team's promotion schedule. The two largest shows, titled "Firework Extravaganzas" are set to occur on July 2 and July 3, 2010.

Home to a Nationwide Series and a Sprint Cup NASCAR race each February, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts various racing events all year long. During Fourth of July weekend, the Speedway is home to the Annual Night of Fire. Following the fireworks display on the first night, the weekend is filled with stock car, SMRA Supermodifieds and Late Model racing events.

When a new resort in Las Vegas opens, it usually features a grand, celebratory fireworks display. On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, for example, the 11:50 p.m. opening of Aria Resort and Casino, the centerpiece of MGM Mirage's CityCenter property, was preceded by an 11:05 p.m. fireworks display.
Across the United States, fireworks light up the sky on Fourth of July; Las Vegas is no exception. In addition to neighborhood and city fireworks displays in Las Vegas, Boulder City, Henderson and North Las Vegas, some of Sin City's casinos/resorts have shows of their own. In 2009, Mandalay Bay put on a poolside concert and fireworks show at Mandalay Beach, M Resort shot off 15 minutes of fireworks after dusk, and Station Casinos lit up the skies for nine minutes at nine of its properties around town. The Station Casinos' fireworks shows were all choreographed to music on local radio stations.
The biggest fireworks show of the year in Las Vegas happens on the Strip on New Year's Eve. Las Vegas skies are lit up by a massive, choreographed show. As 2010 rang in, seven Strip properties simultaneously launched fireworks from their rooftops at the stroke of midnight while corresponding music was belted out from loudspeakers along Las Vegas Boulevard. The party on the Strip and the fireworks show draws an enormous crowd each year.
Most people view the show from Las Vegas Boulevard, which is shut down to traffic for the evening, but you can also enjoy the fireworks from further out, where the synchronization of the fireworks are better viewed and the crowds are not a problem.
