La Romana is the Dominican Republic's third largest city and one its most popular locations for tourists. Founded in the early 17th century, La Romana has become one of The Dominican Republic's most notable cities with nearly 250,000 people living in the city limits.

The Village of Alto De Chavon is the replication of the original settlement accented with artwork. Tourists can marvel at the cobblestone mosaic walkways, view artists creating new masterpieces, and see the lush, tropical rainforests surrounding the village.
