Take Highway 23 West from Sheboygan. Travel this highway until you come to Country Highway A in By Greenbush. Turn left on Highway A, and proceed into Greenbush. At the intersection of Highway A and Highway P, make a left onto Highway P. This is the start of the scenic drive.
Plan a drive on Highway P--otherwise known as scenic drive--for the third and fourth weeks of October. The colors are at their peak then. The scenic drive is lined with trees on both sides, and the colors are bright. There are areas along Highway P where one can stop and take pictures.
Continue on Highway P to Highway 67. Turn left on 67 for short ride to Highway P again, and turn right. This will take you down a long road with beautiful colors in a distance and along the road, as well. Keep going straight on Highway P to Parnell Tower.
Turn right into the parking lot of Parnell Tower and park. Here you can climb to the top of the newly built tower that overlooks the Kettles. When the colors are at their peak, the pictures and views are incredible.
Descend from the tower, and hike one of the four different hiking trails at the bottom. Each trail tells you how many miles it is and how long it takes to walk. You will go deep into the Kettles and see some beautiful colors, as well as ground flowers that spring up during the fall.
