  1. Quiet Flight Surf Shop

    • Although Orlando is one of the few major cities in Florida that doesn't have a coast, there's always room for a surf shop. The Quiet Flight Surf Shop offers surfboards and all the bells and whistles that go with the wave-riding lifestyle, from sunglasses to waterproof watches. Just about every major name brand in the surfing world can be found at Quiet Flight, including Billabong, Rip Curl and Volcom.

    Mythos Restaurant

    • Since 2000, Mythos Restaurant has consistently been listed as one of the three best theme park restaurants by Theme Park Insider. The building's design, both inside and out, evokes ancient ceremonies from civilizations past, which fits right in with the Lost Continent area of the park in which it's located. The menu, however, is slightly more contemporary (and more sophisticated than the average amusement park fare) with items such as blueberry and pistachio-crusted grilled pork and a decent-sized wine list.

    Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company

    • Hart & Huntington is the tattoo shop in Universal Studios. This ancient art form has become quite a popular trend in recent years, which is why parlors like Hart & Huntington, after gaining notoriety in Las Vegas and Hawaii, have set up shop in Orlando. Thousands of tattoo designs are available at the shop, and there is also no shortage of clothing items and accessories, including plenty of hats, belts, shoes and hoodies.

    Confisco Grille & Backwater Bar

    • Confisco Grille & Backwater Bar, located at the Port of Entry inside Universal Studios, is open for breakfast and lunch, with an all-encompassing menu to suit just about any appetite. This eatery is especially kid-friendly, with life-sized characters such as Cat In the Hat milling about and greeting patrons. The food includes standard American cuisine, such as hamburgers and pizzas, but also a variety of Mexican, Greek and Asian-inspired entrees. Although the Confisco Grille is certainly a spot for kids, the Backwater Bar offers parents the chance to sip on a relaxing cocktail as well.
