About Summerfest Milwaukee in WI

Beer, music and food. Those are the three words many would use to describe America's largest music festival held every year at Henry Maier Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For 11 days every year, national and local acts fill over 10 stages at once daily. With acts like Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty frequenting the festival, hundreds of thousands flock daily to the festival. Here is some basic information about Summerfest in Milwaukee.
  1. Free Stages

    • Local acts take stage across the fair grounds from noon until 7 p.m. daily on free stages, opening for national acts that close the night at 10 p.m. Each stage is sponsored by a well-known company like U.S. Cellular, Miller Lite and Harley Davidson.

    Marcus Amphitheater

    • The most popular acts that perform at the festival perform in the Marcus Amphitheater. Acts on this stage are at an additional cost, but free wrist bands for grass seats are available. Free grounds admission is also available with ticket prices.

    11 Days

    • Summerfest is at the end of June and beginning of July every year. The festival runs for 11 days from noon until midnight daily. Each day there is a different musical line-up.

    Beer

    • Miller Lite, Lakefront Brewery, Cools, Leinenhugel's and Milwaukee Ale House beer are available throughout the park. Aside from martinis, this is the only alcohol available on the premises. No alcohol can be taken into the park.

    Big Bang

    • Every year Summerfest starts off with the big bang. This fireworks display is the biggest one held in Milwaukee each year and can be heard and seen for miles.

    Promotions

    • Daily promotions are available until 7 p.m. These promotions allow you to take part in discounted admission to Summerfest. All promotions are listed on the official website.
