Instructions

    • 1

Wear durable, closed-toed shoes. Keep long hair tied back.

    • 2

Know you could risk injury on rides if you lack strength to keep your body still or to hold on. Understand that thrill rides are physically demanding. Ensure that the restraints fit tightly against small adults and children to reduce risks of ejection.

    • 3

Talk to the operator before getting aboard if you are significantly overweight or tall.

    • 4

Ensure that you and your children know all the safety rules before getting on board the ride. Observe where and how riders load and unload.

    • 5

Teach children how to handle the unexpected. Tell children to remain seated and await instructions from an operator if their ride stops unexpectedly. Instruct children to stay seated, hold on tight, close their eyes and scream if they wish. Let them know that screaming is expected on thrill rides.

    • 6

Put small children on the side farthest from the opening side. Use all provided safety equipment. Double-check restraints for yourself and your children before the ride begins. Hold onto the bar tightly. Remember to keep your head straight ahead to protect against neck injuries.

    • 7

Stay inside the ride until the restraint system unlatches or the operator tells you to leave the ride. Watch your footing when getting off the ride. Walk from the ride to the exit.
