Choose which type of Disney party you want. There are different types of parties available at the Walt Disney World Resorts, including Goofy's Party Central, Kid's Never Land Club Party and a Celebration Fireworks Cruise. Each one is its own party experience offering everything from entertainment, games, food, decorations and of course, cake. Parties available at Goofy's Party Central at Downtown Disney include Goofy's Scien-Terrific Birthday Bash and Perfectly Princess Party. The Neverland Club Birthday Party is available at Disney's Polynesian Resort and includes food, organized games and a one-hour visit from a Disney character. Miniature golf parties are also available at Disney's Wintersummerland by Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Call to make party reservations. To book any of the party celebrations above call 407-WDW-BDAY and speak with a Disney party planner. He or she will help you decide on a location, date, time and theme for your party. You will also be able to book any additional party needs, including extra cakes, food, decorations or additional characters during this call. To book a Celebration Fireworks Cruise you will need to call Disney's recreation team at 407-WDW-PLAY and ask for a cruise to see either the fireworks at Epcot or the Magic Kingdom Park. Let the cast member know you wish to turn the cruise into a celebration cruise and they will help you make all the reservations and place orders for food, drinks, cake and balloons.
Add a character visit. Party packages at the Polynesian Resort are the only ones with a character already included in the deal. If you want to have a character visit you during your party or give you a proper send off before your celebration cruise you will need to book it in advance. As of January 2011, the cost for a character visit is $400 for two 30-minute sets. You can choose from the different characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Cinderella, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Mr. Smee, Lilo and Stitch.
Order celebration cake. If you are planning a celebration that does not already include a cake, such as the fireworks cruises, you will need to order the cake separately. Cakes can be picked up at most table service restaurants at Walt Disney World without ordering in advance. However, if you want a special type of cake or to have it personalized you will need to order it at least 48 hours in advance. To order your personalized cake call the cake hotline at 407-827-2253 or call the restaurant of your choice directly.
Pay a deposit for the party. You might be required to pay a deposit ranging from $100 to the entire amount of the party cost. If a deposit is not required at the time of making your party reservation you will be required to give a valid credit card number and expiration date. This information will be put on your party's file and only charged the day of the party or should you not cancel 48 hours in advance.
