Amish Restaurants Nearest Tampa, Florida

Most of America's Amish population is located in Pennsylvania, Ohio and other parts of the Midwest. But over the past several decades, the Amish have spread out to about 20 states. What may surprise you the most is that there is a sizable Amish community in the Pinecraft section of Sarasota, Florida, about an hour's drive from Tampa. The area allows curious travelers to experience Amish culture, browse handmade furniture and, of course, dine on traditional Amish cuisine.

- Troyer's prides itself on offering gourmet twists on traditional Amish dishes. The restaurant is most famous for its baked goods, which include a number of fruit pies, cookies and breads. The restaurant has breakfast and dinner menus that boast a range of comfort foods from prime rib and roasted chicken to grilled fish and pork chops. A buffet lunch and dinner is also offered, every day except Sunday. A banquet room is available for private parties and business meetings.

Yoder's Restaurant
- The philosophy at Yoder's is to create authentic Amish cooking by making everything from scratch. The restaurant's pot roast and fried chicken are its flagship dishes, with the chicken cooked in a high-pressure fryer to keep it juicy and succulent. But Yoder's is best known for its range of pies, with the most popular being the peanut butter cream pie. In 2010, Adam Richman, host of the Travel Channel's "Man Vs. - Located about 40 miles from both Tampa and Sarasota, the Amish Creamery Company in Madeira Beach is a beachfront ice cream shop, bakery and deli. Customers are drawn in by the allure of many flavors of fresh ice cream and often stay to browse the selection of jams and other preserves, meats and cheeses.
