How to Be Safe While Driving at Night

      While driving at night one should always be prepared, especially if you are a women.

      First of all it is necessary to have a cell phone( a working one)while driving at night. Invest in a car charger that of course is compatible to your phone. I say this because I have had several car chargers in my truck and none fit my phone when I needed them. Make absolutely sure.

      Purchase a good flash light and keep extra batteries in your purse or the glove compartment in your car.

      Keep a least one bottled water in your car. You may become thirsty or need to splash a little water on your face.

      Have the phone number to your mechanic. Ask him first if it would be alright to call him in case of an emergency after hours. If not then maybe he can refer you to someone who will. For additional coverage apply to AAA or other companies as such. Call any friends or families and let know what has happened hopefully you can get a familiar person to help you. This would be your best bet.

      If you are stopped by the police and it is dark outside talk to him with your window slightly opened. Have enough room to slide your license through he window(if you must). There are a lot of crazy people in this world and many who have a knack for impersonating.

      If a stranger offers you help and suggest you leave the car decline the offer. Make sure that your doors are all locked. In addition all window should be shut with the exception of one being slightly opened. Tell them nicely that you are waiting for the police and your friend to arrive(even though this is not true).

      Ladies too many times we become victims of crimes. We need to be prepared at all times especially when we are driving alone at night.

      Therefore it is very important to have a working cell phone or invest in one of those pay as you go phones and make sure that it is charged. Invest in chargers to keep in your car, in case your battery dies. If there is no reception use caution and do not leave your vehicle. Day light will arrive.

      Keep the flashlight, cell phone or two along with compatible chargers, batteries, and bottled water in your vehicle. You wont regret it. hopefully you will never have to use those items but if you do you will be prepared.
