Instructions

    • 1

Walk through an airport and notice any bored drivers dressed in what appears to be an official limo driver uniform. He may have parts of his uniform undone--this is meant to convince the onlooker that he's tired, on a break, or on his last shift.

    • 2

Use caution if approached by the limo driver. The limo driver will likely tell you that he's at the end of his shift or had a client that never showed up. He will then offer to take you to your destination for a low, flat fee to make up for his lost time.

    • 3

Resist accepting the driver's offer. If you do accept the ride, he'll help you into the limo and put your luggage in the trunk. He will then take a long route or pretend to get lost.

    • 4

Arrive at your destination and the limo driver will demand more money than the fee previously agreed to. The scammer will claim that he spent too much money on gas or lost too much time while trying to find your destination.

    • 5

Deny the limo driver's request. Unfortunately, the scammer will refuse to open the trunk and give you your luggage until you pay him the extra money. In some instances, the driver may take the extra money you give him and then leave with your luggage.
