Know the exchange rate. Before trading your money at any exchange center, make sure you know exactly how the money translates. You do not want to be taken advantage of. A Mexican Peso is worth about 11 Korean Wons, which means that one Koran Won is worth about 0.1 Peso, more or less. If the rates look like something other than this, you might want to wait to exchange your money.
Find a currency exchange center. These can be found at any international airport. As long as the airport sends planes overseas, it will most likely have an exchange center. You can ask the money changer to exchange your Koran Won to Mexican Pesos. They will usually take something like an 8 percent commission for the exchange, so you will receive a little less money than what you gave.
Go to a large, international bank. These are usually found in larger cities. At a bank that does business overseas, you can exchange your Korean Won into Pesos with a much lower commission rate. It will be even smaller if you have an account with the bank. If you cannot find an international bank, you can try a local bank, but it will take time for them to exchange the money and they can take up to 11 percent commission, so use this as a last resort.
