CCIC Inspection for Pakistan→China Exports: Not Mandatory

CCIC (China Certification & Inspection Group) inspection is not universally required for exports from Pakistan to China. Requirements depend on:

• Product category: Food, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, machinery, textiles—each has distinct CNCA/CCC/GACC regulations.
• Chinese importer’s specs: Many buyers demand pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by CCIC, SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek as a contract condition.
• Regulatory lists: China’s Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory Certification (CCC) and GACC Decree 248/249 (food/feed) mandate specific inspections.

Common Required Certificates

• Certificate of Origin (CO): Chamber of Commerce & Industry Pakistan (for FTA tariffs under CPFTA).
• Phytosanitary / Health Certificate: For agricultural/food products (issued by Pakistan Department of Plant Protection / Ministry of National Food Security).
• Halal Certificate: For meat, poultry, processed foods (approved Pakistani Halal bodies recognized by GACC).
• CCC Mark: For electronics, toys, auto parts, etc. (factory audit + type testing).
• REACH/RoHS compliance: For chemicals/electronics.

Best Practice

1. Ask your Chinese buyer exactly which certificates/inspections their customs broker requires.
2. Engage a recognized inspection agency (CCIC Pakistan, SGS Pakistan, TÜV Rheinland) early.
