What year did the first automatic ticket barrier open on London underground?

The first automatic ticket barriers (called 'turnstiles') were installed across the whole London Underground network between 1928 and 1932 on Underground (Bakerloo, Central, Northern, Piccadilly lines), Metropolitan, Circle, Hampstead, District and Edgware, Highgate and Morden underground railways.
