Norway in World Atlas

Norway is a long and narrow country located in Northern Europe. It borders Sweden to the east, Finland and Russia to the northeast, and the Skagerrak Strait and the North Sea to the west and south. Norway has a coastline of over 25,000 kilometers, making it the 7th longest coastline in the world.

The shape of Norway is often compared to a fish, with the head in the north and the tail in the south. The country is divided into two main regions: Eastern Norway and Western Norway. Eastern Norway is home to the capital city, Oslo, and is characterized by its rolling hills and forests. Western Norway is known for its dramatic fjords, glaciers, and mountains.

Norway is a member of the European Union, but not of the European Monetary Union (EMU). The currency in Norway is the krone (NOK). The official language of Norway is Norwegian, but English is also widely spoken.
