Pack lightweight cookware--frying pan, a pot, baking pan and a teakettle. Stock up on staple foods such as cereal, coffee, tea, dry mixes, dried fruit, spices and condiments. Bring cooking and eating utensils and plastic bowls, dishes and beverage containers rather than glass or ceramic. Don't forget cleaning supplies and a cooler.
Most of your clothing will have to fit in drawers, so pack things like T-shirts, shorts and jeans that fold up easily. Include light sweaters and jackets. Don't forget to bring the different kinds of shoes you'll need and plan for activities like swimming. Make sure you have sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and insect repellent. Keep your personal toiletries to a minimum.
Taking an RV trip is all about enjoying the outdoors, so make sure you have lawn chairs, a fold-up table and a gas lantern. Bring all the sporting equipment you might need, including fishing gear, golf clubs, swim fins and goggles and volleyballs. Don't forget some good books to read, board games, a deck of cards and any portable musical instruments.
No one wants to get hurt or have an accident on vacation but sometimes it happens. Make sure you have a tool kit that can handle all the repair needs of your RV. Pack a complete first aid kit and any prescription medications. Make sure you have maps of the areas where you're traveling and passports if you're traveling out of the country.
