MP3 players, portable DVD players, or laptop computers that you bring for entertainment on the plane should be left in your hotel room safe when in the park. Bear in mind that security will likely require extra testing of these at the airport and allot yourself additional time. Ensure that any additional batteries, including lithium ion, are in your carry-on baggage with the equipment that requires them. Security will discard batteries that are loose in luggage if your bags are randomly searched.
Necessary travel essentials such as a small first aid kit and toiletries are less important at Walt Disney World due to the availability of such services at the help desks and hotel lobbies. Don't fret if you forget hairbrushes, toothbrushes, or other inexpensive items as your hotel is likely to keep a supply on hand just for this occasion. Keep in mind the 3-1-1 rules from TSA.gov for any liquids you carry, or you may find these items discarded at security checkpoints. Cell phones should be programmed with the assistance numbers of the resort in case any children become separated from the group or additional assistance is needed. These numbers are available on the Walt Disney World website and from your hotel. Keep your plane and attraction tickets in an easily accessible outer pouch of your carry-on luggage.
