Where can you find the UK visa reference number in your passport?

The UK visa reference number is not found in the passport.

There are two types of visa reference numbers:

- Application number: This number is issued to you when you apply for a visa. It begins with “GWD”. You can find it on your Application Receipt Letter and on the emails sent to you by UKVI during your application.

- Visa number: This number is usually issued to successful applicants. It is in the format “UKVI/12345678”. It is printed on your actual visa sticker and is different from your passport number.
