Can EU citizens work in Turkey without a permit?

As a general rule, EU citizens do not need a work permit to work in Turkey. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. For example, EU citizens who want to work in certain regulated professions, such as law, medicine, and engineering, must obtain a work permit from the Turkish government before they can start working. Additionally, EU citizens who want to work in Turkey for more than six months must obtain a residence permit from the Turkish government.

To apply for a work permit, EU citizens must submit the following documents to the Turkish government:

- A valid passport

- A copy of their residence permit (if applicable)

- A completed work permit application form

- A letter from their employer stating the position they will be filling and the salary they will be earning

- Proof of their qualifications (e.g., a degree or diploma)

The Turkish government will then review the application and decide whether or not to grant the work permit. If the work permit is granted, EU citizens will be able to work in Turkey for the period specified on the permit.
