In addition, you must present an original certified copy of your birth certificate and a completed and signed affidavit, which will have your residence and other information used to determine Austrian citizenship.
If you have a marriage certificate or a divorce decree, you are required to present certified copies of these documents.
Children ages 0 to 12 years old must have parental consent to obtain a passport. If the child does not have a personal identification card, a parent's card may be substituted. Minors also must have a certified birth certificate.
According to the Austrian Embassy in London, Austrian passport processing times are about three weeks. The cost of an Austrian passport is about $30 and must be paid in cash.
