If you are planning on wearing a shirt that's made of a thicker material, or if you're traveling during the colder months, you may want to wear a neck pouch. Neck pouches go over one shoulder and hang across your body at a diagonal under your clothing. Other pouches hang around your neck like a necklace and fit underneath your clothing. However, if you're wearing lightweight or see-through clothing, it will be easier to see the neck pouch, making you a target for thieves.
Waist wallets have several zippers and are made of a lightweight material. Like neck pouches, waist wallets are designed to be discreet. A waist wallet can be adjusted to fit most people. It looks like a belt and is worn at the waist usually measuring about 10 inches long by four inches wide. However, the waist wallet is worn under the clothing and can be fitted tightly against the person or worn loosely so it drops into the pants some.
The leg wallet has the same features as the waist and neck wallet in that it's flesh-colored, lightweight and offers several compartments. However, it is worn tightly but comfortably around the leg right above the ankle at the calf. It is like wearing a lightweight support brace and is adjustable for most calf sizes. If you plan on wearing shorts or a skirt, a leg wallet is not appropriate.
A hidden belt wallet can work for the traveler who doesn't have a lot to carry around. It's a small, lightweight wallet with one zipper and can be adjusted around your waist as you see fit. It comes with two different colored loops that act as one extra belt loop. When you put your belt on, place it through one of the two loops. Then you're able to place the wallet on the inside of your pants, with the loop still holding onto the belt. You have to wear a belt to wear this type of wallet.
