Full Sail Brewery began in an old cannery in 1987 and by 1989 had won a gold at the 1989 Great American Beer Festival. Full Sail Amber is its best-selling beer. Take this tour to find out how beer is made. This microbrewery is one of the few manual brew houses in the country of its size that still crafts its beer by hand. Daily tours are offered at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. Kids 12 and over are welcome on the tour as long as they are with parent or guardian. The tour takes about 20 minutes to complete and consists of history and fun facts about Full Sail. At the end of the tour guests get to sample brews for a small fee.

Franz Bakery is a family-owned and operated business that dates to 1897. Its traditional line of breads include Crater Lake whole grain oat nut bread , NW Harvest 100 percent whole wheat bread and a line of whole wheat bread, buns, bagels and English muffins. Schedule a tour to learn more about the history of this franchise and to see how many of the bread products we eat are made. Tours are given throughout the school year, from September to June. Tours must be scheduled in advance because they fill up quickly. The tour consists of a half-hour tour of its facility and a brief history of the bakery. As part of the tour guests get to sample a snack of bread, butter and apple juice. At the end of the tour participants are given gift bags to take home. All jewelry is forbidden during the tour, with the exception of a wedding band. Guests are also required to wear closed-toe, non-skid shoes.
